I’m so behind on blogging. I think one of the problems is that I’m not much of a wordsmith and just get writers block when I have to think of something clever to say…I’m a photographer, not a writer. For the next little while I think I’m just going to let the images do the talking. It’s less intimidating for me. So I will begin with sweet little Max. Enjoy

I had so much fun with this gorgeous mama. Her friends really love her…they got her a gift certificate for belly photos We started off with some photos at her house but I had so much fun with her that I convinced her to let me photograph her some more…outside…in the glorious evening sun. I seriously could show off all 96 photos that came out of this session…but I won’t…here’s my most very favorites

Then…in October little Ella was born. She was so cute..this tiny little bundle and sooo loved. We snuck in a newborn session while her daddy was home from his job out of town….I got lots of snuggles, my favorite part about my job photographing newbies.

Kohl: Kelowna Newborn & Family Photography

Meet Kohl….he was born in July too! I met his dad Kevin when I bought my van from him. I LOOOOOVE my Dodge Caravan. Seriously, never did I think I’d be a mini-van owner..but I love my van. I can fit a 7′ sofa in there which comes in super handy for those large outdoor family photos that require a cool huge green couch to make it just perfect…but I digress. If you need a new vehicle, go see Kevin at Okanagan Dodge. He will no doubt hook you up with something cool to drive. Anyways…enough about my wheels…check out his super sweet little boys.

Brayden: Kelowna Newborn and Family Photography

Meet Brayden (and his cute older brother Joshua). Little Brayden was born in July (I’m a LITTLE behind on blogging) and he was a little superstar client. Quickest newborn session EVER, he slept right through it all and was a total treat for me.

We met up again a few days later for some outdoor photos…I just LOVE doing newborn photos outside if the weather permits. Here’s a few favorites:

I met Mike and Stacey at the end of June to do some maternity photos. She wasn’t due for a few weeks but they wanted to make sure they didn’t miss the opportunity.

Then, on July 28th, sweet little Emmeline was born. She was so sweet, slept almost the entire time and I just couldn’t get enough of her. She was full of smiles for me…I wanted to keep her but her parents are head over heels in love and wouldn’t let me

Landon: Kelowna Newborn and Family Photography

I met this awesome family back in June when sweet little Landon was born. Their family owns an amazing property with some very old buildings that I got to explore.

We braved the mosquitoes to get some of these outside photos…and believe me, they were INSANE. Daddy even brought out his tennis racquet shaped zapper to make sure poor little Landon wasn’t eaten alive. I think the many, MANY bites were totally worth it.

This is Henry at 6 days new. He was such a good little model..and clearly adored by his parents. I love that he even gave me a big smile during our session.

Torren: Kelowna Newborn Photography

I met sweet little Torren when he was 11 days new. He was wide awake and very alert for much of our session but I guess his first attempt at modelling finally wore him out and he fell asleep just in time to finish off our session with a ride on his daddy’s Harley. NOTE: his dad was right behind the bike holding on to him the entire time. I would never put a baby in an unsafe situation for the sake of a photo.

It’s been such a long time since I’ve blogged anything I almost forgot how. I met up with Chad and Julie back in April for their maternity session. These two have had a busy year…they got married in August of last year and now they are expecting their first little bundle, they were SO excited! We started off with a little indoor session followed by some outdoor evening photos up on Knox Mountain.

Finally, after much anticipation, little Asher arrived on April 27th. I couldn’t wait to snuggle him and when he was 7 days new I finally got to meet him. The following week I was doing Orchard mini sessions and invited them to come out for some outdoor photos. I love doing newborn photos outside.
