It’s been a pretty uneventful weekend really. Friday afternoon Kaelyn and I went to the mall for lunch and then we went for "The Marble Slab Creamery" for ice cream. It was very expensive ice cream but she loved it.
Friday night we went for a family swim at the Rec center. The girls both decided the like the YMCA better even though the rec center has the pirate ship water center. The shallow pool was too shallow. The only cool thing about the rec center is that the family room has 4 change rooms with a shower in them…makes it so much easier to get changed and cleaned up after the swim. That’s the most annoying part about going for a family swim..it’s the cleanup afterwards. Oh well, the kids like it so I’ll have to suck it up.
Last night we went over to Rob and Kat’s so we could get the baby announcements done. Braedyn just could not get enough of Annika. It was also Annika’s 1 month birthday.
We got to bed pretty late too. I bought Braedyn a 300 piece Hannah Montanna puzzle and we were up until 1 am working on it. Jason even helped out. This morning we had to get up early for Braedyn’s swimming lessons. When we came back I had a nap and then us girls went out to A&W for supper and then to the park. I snapped a few pictures while we were eating.
After dinner we went down to Rotary Beach for some fun. It started getting pretty windy and even a little drizzly but it didn’t stop the girls from having a ton of fun.
This little guy was getting really close to my Starbucks coffee which I had sitting on the ground next to me while I was snapping pics of Kaelyn on the swing.
Near the end of our playtime, it got REALLY cold and windy. Poor Kaelyn was freezing.
Dirty little Kaelyn feet…
This is a picture of Braedyn taken from inside my car. Kaelyn and I were already buckled up and ready to go, the car was running and Braedyn was still pleading with me not to go yet.
After the park we went to visit my dad. The girls were bored because most of his furniture, including TV, has been moved to his new house. They decided to keep busy by sweeping and dusting his balcony. I wish they’d do that at home!
Well…the weekend is over and it’s back to work and school. That makes me sad. Happy Monday!
