Yesterday when I woke up in the morning this is what I saw when I looked out the window. I know that Albarta got way more snow than we did but I think this might be the first time in history (or at least in the 10 years that I’ve had family in Manitoba) that our weather was DRASTICALLY worse than theirs. Fortunately it was gone by late afternoon but still….mid April snow? Just plain weird. It was too cold out to do much so there are no new pictures.
Thursday afternoon when I got home from work there was a little surprise waiting for me. Braedyn gave me a cute little tin and a card and said "a lady with brown hair and a dog dropped this off". Inside the tin was a little charm necklace and a magnet. It was from Nikki, one of the awesome gals in my Stampin Up group. She is such a thoughtful person. She lost everything when her house burned to the ground just before Christmas yet she’s buying me something just because when she saw it, she thought of me. And I know I’m not the only one who has been the recipient of Nikki’s thoughfulness. I wish I were more like her. In fact, i wish more people were like Nikki because if more people thought about others and making others happy, I think the world would be a better place. So I know I have already said it before but Nikki, if you are reading this, thank you once again for making my day and thinking of me. I can’t even begin to explain how it made me feel and I WILL pay it forward.

I don’t have any other new pictures. I went to the funeral Saturday morning and then napped all afternoon. Same thing today…went to Braedyn’s swimming lessons, took a nap and then went to visit my mom and then my dad. VERY uneventful…exactly how I like my weekends to be.
